Admissions Process

To inquire about Kehillah Schechter Academy for your child:
  1. Contact Sandi Morgan Dunn, Director of Admissions, to request an admissions packet at 781-769-5555 or smorgan@ksa-ne.org. You and your child may also attend an Open House or a Song and Story Hour to find out more about KSA.
  2. Make an appointment (781-769-5555 or smorgan@ksa-ne.org) to tour the school and meet with Sandi Morgan Dunn, Director of Admissions and Dr. Nitzan Resnick and Rabbi David Paskin, Heads of School.
  3. Send in the completed application that is included in the packet and on-line, a $100 application fee (non-refundable made payable to Kehillah Schechter Academy) and a recent photograph of your child to: Kehillah Schechter Academy, One Commerce Way, Norwood, MA 02062.  AISNE (Association of Independent Schools New England) student forms and a student release form are to be completed by your child’s current teacher and mailed back to our Admissions Office.
  4. Schedule a visit and screening for your child.
    • Children applying for kindergarten (Gan Aleph or Gan Bet) or grade 1 visit the school in late January for a 1 ½ hour small group session and a ½ hour individual screening on a subsequent day. Concurrent with the individual screening, parents may meet with a member of the Administrative team to answer any further questions.
    • Children applying for grades 2 - 8 will spend a ½ - to full day at KSA in their current grade. An individual 45-minute academic screening will be scheduled to occur on the same day.
  5. Apply for Tuition Assistance (optional). Applications are available in January and decisions are mailed in April.
  6. Receive notification; application decision letters are mailed in March.
  7. To secure placement and officially enroll your child, submit a signed tuition agreement and deposit fee.
New parents will be invited to a New Parents Welcome Reception at the home of a current family in February as well as to appropriate school and family events in the spring.

Kindergarten students will be invited to an ice cream party before the start of school.
